Interpellation corresponds with my research site because it brings many different children together all over the world. So many children, generally younger girls , love webkinz and when a child sees another child with a webkinz they automatically have some kind of comfort zone. They already know they have something in common. Most generally if you have a webkinz animal, then you have a account on the webkinz site. Which allows you to register your animals and play with them online. The website sets goal for you by making you have to feed them and take them to the vet and much more. It also sets goals for the children and the parents to get more webkinz by offering free accessories and certificates of achievement for your child and pet when you reach a certain number of pets registered to your account online. I know at like 30 pets my daughter got the certificate and some accessories for her pet.
Having a webkinz doll identifies your child to other children, identifying what they like and a tiny part of who they are. Children who like webkinz are in their own little subculture. Some of these children in this subculture don't just have one or two of these webkinz, they have 50 or more. Maybe even the whole collecton.Webkinz make pleasure for many children everyday.
