Mass Culture
Mass culture is produced for an unexpected and unaware audience that is conveyed electronically through the media. The goal is to express the message being sent to the largest amount of people to secure the most profit possible. Mass media is expressed mostly by television and radio. By having mass culture you are spreading the important information to as many as possible to get them interested to ensure sales. By doing this you want to be creative and bold to suck in as many as you can. Mass culture is looking for a disparate audience, anyone who is willing to listen. Unlike folk culture where the information is translated by oral communication from one person to another. There are times when things start out as folk culture and turn into mass media.

I agree with how you are saying that mass media's goal is to get the most amount of people to buy a product. The audiance that is targeted is everyone which makes mass media so effective, they try to get anyone and everyone to buy their products. But to try and expand on your blog you could talk about creative and effective ways that these businesses pull people into their product.
